As a (Senior) Financial Planning and Controlling Analyst (m/f/d), you will leverage your expertise in controlling and FP&A to drive the Finance team's performance and significantly contribute to the success of Contorion.

Your Tasks

  • You build and support Contorion's annual financial planning, help with long-term 5-year financial planning, and provide short-term forecasting.

  • You analyze Contorions' business performance across P&L lines. You build and analyze KPIs to understand and manage business performance across the board, such as sales, gross margin, ROI of investments, and cost control. You also help manage a healthy unit economics of the business. 

  • You will be responsible for the monthly financial reporting, including all relevant analyses.

  • You will monitor and manage participation and cost center controlling with the highest accuracy and professionalism.

  • You will help increase efficiency and effectiveness by developing a modern, automated, and digitized control system landscape.

  • As the central point of contact for internal stakeholders in the Controlling department, you will ensure a transparent flow of information.

  • You will proactively identify potential improvements in our existing processes and structures, develop solutions to optimize them, and adapt to changing requirements.

Your Profile

  • You have a degree in business administration, economics, or a related field focusing on Controlling/Accounting. 

  • You also have 3-5 years of professional experience in FP&A / Finance business partnering with a focus on financial analysis, cost control, forecasting, and planning, ideally in an e-commerce or startup environment. Knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) and accounting processes is a plus.

  • You are proficient in MS Office and Google Suite (especially Excel and Google Sheets). Knowledge of Anaplan, Oracle ERP (Fusion), and Alteryx is a plus.

  • You possess strong problem-solving skills and have an interest in automation potentials and technology-supported financial processes.

  • You are comfortable working in an agile environment, can adapt well to change, and take a pragmatic approach to challenges.

  • You have good conversational and written English language skills, which will allow you to communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders. German skills are a plus.
